Description

The energy transition is going to be hugely mineral intensive. As the race to decarbonise our energy systems and get to net zero by 2050 intensifies, the mining industry has a huge task ahead of it to find the resources the transition requires. This means that we must embrace new technologies to both explore for and extract critical raw materials as efficiently and responsibly as possible. 
Lucy will then look at Cornish Lithium and the work they’re doing as an example of embracing new technologies to explore for lithium within geothermal waters and hard rock mica deposits in the UK.
